Instruction Style and Layout
Structured and focused training is essential to learning to trade. I named the way I approach any price chart as Instruction Set Trading. Using levels of supply and demand (however they present) and different time frames I identify where trading decisions need to be made. Using the EDGE Method (Explain, Demonstrate, Guide, and Encourage) I examine chart after chart to make you proficient at doing the same. There comes a sense of freedom in trading when you become comfortable with your own decisions. I work toward this with online live instruction in groups, online live trading in groups and live online one on one coaching. It does not matter if you are new to trading, an experienced trader, or a struggling trader there is a process and journey to success. Once you are a member you will have access to my calendar of events. The instruction and trading groups will be listed on the calendar while one on one coaching is scheduled. If you are new to trading, there will be a weekly class introducing you to the currency markets and why we trade them. If you are new to the trading platform, there will be a weekly class dedicated to just learning the trading platform.
When you join, I will be reaching out to make sure your login credentials and downloads are working correctly.
Trader Progress
Your trading progress will be measured by trading with real time data, but in a simulated account. There is no reason to start trading in a funded account until you are up for the challenge. Being ready is determined by your winning rate, your average winner, your average loser, maximum account drawdown and trading expectancy. When you are ready, then and only then, should you trade in a live funded account.
Funded Accounts
There are opportunities to trade funded accounts that are structured for different trading styles. When you are ready I will be happy to assist you in selecting the account best suited to you and help you get up and running. Plus you’ll still be a member of Logan’s Grove.
Trading Styles & Personalities
Scalping
Is typically on very small time frames as the 1 and 5 minute charts. The goal is to take advantage of prices moving sideways or within identifiable price and time cycles. This style of trading is very in gauging, challenging, rewarding and maddingly frustrating at the same time. It can be done if the trader has control of their emotions. Scalpers are drawn to the excitement, the energy of the event and are typically high energy personalities.
01
Swing Trading
Is identifying areas of supply and demand and speculating on the swings between them. Swing trading is normally done on longer term chart. Swing traders like action, but don’t want to be tied to their computer for hours at a time. Checking setups and positions on 4 to 8 hour charts is their preference.
02
Position Trading
Is finding the highest probable setup on larger time frames, putting on a trade and then using patience to allow the trade to work. Position trading management, entries and exits, is done on lower time frames. Position traders like the freedom of putting on pending orders or market orders and then going about their day. Traders can specialize in a particular style or incorporate all styles into their trading.
03
Rex's Method
Structured and focused training is essential to learning to trade. I use the EDGE Method to accomplish this. Explain, Demonstrate, Guide, and Encourage. I emphasis this with online live training in groups, online live trading in groups and live online one on one coaching. It does not matter if you are new to trading, an experienced trader, or a struggling trader there is a process and journey to success.
The training and trading groups will be listed on the calendar while one on one coaching is scheduled.
